Our company was founded in 1988 by Herb Dixon in Des Moines, Iowa. He was awarded the Nimlok product line for the state of Iowa and because of his outstanding design skills, he built the company into a widely known display and trade show exhibit business nationwide.
In 2009, the Nimlok distributorship was awarded to Greg Mowrey and the company name was changed to Display Creators, Inc. to reflect a new, dynamic way of looking at permanent and non-permanent displays.
Display Creators is founded on the premise that permanent and non-permanent displays should be bold, inspired and have great marketing resonance. We consider our displays to be works of art meant to enhance your marketing message without overpowering it. It’s the “show” business for your business.

I grew up in Des Moines and have had a keen interest in business since my early days at the local grocery store, which trained me in the basics (“A Smile In Every Aisle!”) I learned the importance of teamwork as a Boy Scout and an avid Little League baseball player. In 1981, I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Economics.
My professional background spans across two decades in management, sales, marketing, trade show programs and service functions with Fortune 250 consumer product and manufacturing companies.
Trade shows have always been an integral part of my work. I started out as a young salesman, working the trade show booths and learning how to effectively reach out to attendees. Then I moved on to planning, managing and setting up trade show events for 16 years. My trade show knowledge is comprehensive – from “soup to nuts” as they say!
